FDA’s NEW PLAN MAY ENCOURAGE SMOKERS TO VAPE

In a new press release, the FDA announced plans to delay vaping regulations AND lower nicotine in combustible cigarettes. You can see the press release and more info here: http://vapestarsnetwork.com/fda-press-release-good-news-for-the-vapor-industry/

THE FDA’s NEW PLAN MAY ENCOURAGE SMOKERS TO VAPE, BUT THEY WILL SMOKE MORE FIRST.

Lowering the amount of nicotine in cigarettes will encourage smokers to consume MORE cigarettes each day, not a smart move.

NICOTINE IS NOT THE HARMFUL PART OF SMOKING! The chemicals, tar and carbon monoxide filling smokers lungs is the real issue here. If this plan comes to reality, smokers will not be happy. As smokers realize this, feel the pressure from buying more cigarettes each day and are unable to be satisfied, we are thinking it will push them to vapor products.

From an article by Rachel Becker, found here: https://www.theverge.com/2017/7/28/16060670/fda-low-nicotine-cigarettes-vape-e-cigs-regulation

“…Scientists have been pushing the FDA to limit nicotine levels in cigarettes for more than 20 years. While the FDA isn’t allowed to require that companies make cigarettes with no nicotine at all, the agency can set a maximum level that’s permitted. To make cigarettes non-addictive — or at least, substantially less addictive — nicotine content should be cut by about 85 to 95 percent, says Eric Donney at the University of Pittsburgh, in an email to The Verge….”

Limiting the amount of nicotine in an adult product is a problem all in itself, but it COULD just help smokers find vaping.
